Sept. 8, 1880, Elizabeth M. Best. Engaged in practice at Berkshire, Vt., 1876-8, Swanton, Vt., since 1878; mem. Vt. Ho. of Rep., 1888 (candidate for speaker); U. S. consul at Stanbridge, P. Q.. Can., 1893. Democrat. Address: Swanton, Vt.”

  1. Interesting – would also be my mother’s paternal grandfather. My mother was Sharon Furman Bulloch, her father was Alan Foster Furman

  2. Daniel Gilman Furman was my Dad (Furman Best Phelps) maternal grandfather. Lived and died in Swanton VT buried in Riverside Cemetery
