Amy Robbins Ware

”Mrs. Amy Robbins Ware has generously spent her spare time for several months in making a wonderful illuminated copy of our beloved Maria Sanford’s ‘Apostrophe to the Flag,’ which she and the State Regent are presenting to Memorial Continental Hall, feeling that as this was never given except for the D. A. R., was composed for them, and was given in its perfected form only at the Twenty-ninth Congress, it is most fitting that this copy should hang forever within the walls of the beautiful building of which every Daughter of the American Revolution is so justly proud. The work has been commended by artists of note, and much thought has been given to the framing, and we feel it worthy in every way of a place within these walls, hallowed by the presence of the ‘best loved woman of Minnesota,’ on the last two days of her life.”
