Edna Mae Ware Doyle Obituary, 2012

“Funeral services for Edna Mae “Big Mama” Ware will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel of Oakdale with the Reverend Mark Swinnea and Reverend Brian Johnson officiating. Committal services will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery of Oakdale, under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Edna, 86, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in residence with her family by her side. She was born on November 28, 1925 in Oakdale, to the union of Farley and Louise Ware Doyle. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Pretty Daddy” Ware; her parents, Farley and Louise Ware Doyle; five brothers, Corbett, Albert, Floyd, James, and Rigsby Doyle; one sister, Edlois Ray; one granddaughter, Melissa Ann Ware; and one grandson, Jason “Spanky” Ware.

She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, seven sons, Frank James Ware (Joyce) of Oakdale, Alfred Ware, Jr. (Elvina) of Oakdale, Preyfus Ware (Brenda) of DeQuincy, Ben Roy Ware of Oakdale, Paul Ware (Wanda) of Oakdale, Bobby Ware (Janet) of Oakdale, and Faron Ware of Oakdale; four daughters, Nettie Sue Bryant of Oakdale, Linda McDaniel (Webster) of Oakdale, Nelda Ware (Roy Dubroc) of Oakdale, and Margie Nichols (Rick) of Humble, Texas; three brothers, Vernon Doyle and Elbert Doyle both of Oakdale and Millard Doyle (Olive) of Alexandria; two sisters, Beulah Bond (Pete) and Eda Lee Rodriguez both of Oakdale; thirty-eight grandchildren; eighty-seven great grandchildren; twenty-seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Bobby McDaniel, Webster McDaniel, III, Brent Ware, Joseph Mowad, Ray Ware, Heath Ware, Shane McDaniel, and Gene Ware.

Visitation will be today from 10 am to 10 pm and Saturday from 9 am until time of service in the chapel.
