“Barney Golden Ware, a resident of Bluffton, S.C, departed this life this past week due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was born in 1934, at Junior, a son of the late Oakey and Lena Booth Ware.
He was twice married. First, he married Joan Ware of Clarksburg, who preceded him in death. Second, he married Ingrid Ware of Germany, who survives in Bluffton, S.C.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael and David Ware; one daughter, Donna Ware Bryant and husband, Wilhelm Bryant; four grandchildren, Nathan Ware, Samantha, Alexandra and Victoria Bryant, all of Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Freda Marie Ware Day and husband, Golden Day, of Elkins; and two aunts, Cleota Browning of Arizona, and Wanda Shinn Mitchel of Belington.
Mr. Ware was a 1952 graduate of Belington High School and was planning to attend his 40th class reunion in Belington this July. He was in the U.S. Military during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He was also a graduate of West Virginia University. He was previously employed with the Clarksburg Exponent, later moving to Baltimore where he was employed with The Baltimore Sun Times from which he retired.
Funeral services were held at 8:30 a.m. today from the Evans Chapel of Memories, Parkville, S.C. Interment followed in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Bluffton, S.C. 29910.”
