“Franklin Leo Ware was born Monday, August 11, 1919, at Cuba, Mo., a son of the late Robert Earl Ware and Margaret “Maggie” (Eliston) Ware. He departed this life Monday, April 2, 2001, at his home on White River Road, Cherryville, Mo., at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 22 days.
On April 1, 1942, at Steelville, Mo., Franklin was united in marriage to Fannie Marie Lea, daughter of Eddie and Pearl (Collier) Lea. They have been blessed with five sons and one daughter. The day before his death was their fifty-ninth wedding anniversary.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Ware and wife Hester and two sisters, Alice Ware (at age two years) and Eva and husband Herb Stewart, sisters-in-law Clio Mrieta Ware, Gladys and husband Floyd Green.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his devoted wife, Fannie of the home; five sons and one daughter, Jessie Leonard Ware of Bourbon, Mo., Curtis Leo Ware and wife Grace, Virvine George Ware and wife Martha, all of Cherryville, Mo., Judy Marie and husband Jim Loveless of Cuba, Mo., William (Bill) Franklin Ware and wife Marilyn of Steelville, Mo.
One brother Kenneth Ware and wife Dorothy of Davisville, Mo.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Mildred Pyatt of Cuba, Mo., Lorene and Albert Martin of Steelville, Mo.; nineteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Franklin Leo Ware lay in state 3-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001 in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Harry White officiating. Musical selection were provided by Carol and Bob Coleman.
Committal prayers and interment were in Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Mo. Honoring their grandfather as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were Shannon Ware, Chance Reeves, Curtis Lee Ware, Rodney Ware, Travis Ware, Randy Ware, Cody Ware, Scot Ware, Mike Ware, Shawn Ware, Jeffrey Ware, Robbie Ware and Clayton Reeves.”
