“Arthur Ware Sr. native Xenian
Arthur Ware Sr., 69, of 774 E. Second St., a horticulturist and employe of J.A. Chew family here 40 years, died Wednesday at his home after a long illness.
His death occurred within hour of that of his brother, James D. Ware of Chicago, Ill.
Arthur Ware was born in Xenia Feb. 9, 1907 and was a member of Zion Baptist Church.
In addition to his brother in Chicago, he was preceded in death by three sons, Richard, Paul and Johnny. He is survived by his widow, Gladys Thomas Ware; two sons, Robert L. of Los Angeles and arathur War Jr.of Yellow Spring; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Barbara Lyons of Sandusky; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. J.S. Hanley will conduct services Monday at 1 p.m. at Zion Baptist church. Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, 4 to 9 p.m. at McLin Funeral Home, 335 E. market St., with the family present 7 to 9.”
