Priscilla’s husband Josiah committed suicide on 14 Mar 1881 at his farm 6 miles SW of Eaton. His wife, Priscilla, had become sick and apparently he was not able to deal with all the problems.
Priscilla appears to have not recovered from her illness and passed away just two weeks later on 25 Mar 1881. She was buried 27 Mar 1881.
