Bennie B. Ware Obituary, 1979

“Bennie B. Ware was born 7 Feb 1895 in Gatesville, Coryell County, Texas to his parents George Madison “Matt” Ware and Margaret “Maggie” Cornelia Ridling Ware. He is the third son and 8th child of 13 children.
He served in World War I from July 14, 1918 to March 15, 1919 as a Private in the United States Army. Prior to his marriage he worked for the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad working out of Abilene, Texas.
He married Lorena May Carpenter on 24 Dec 1927 in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas and lived on a farm north of Abilene on County Road 501. Current mail box number is 5249B. He did construction work as a carpenter in Abilene. After retiring they moved to Grand Prairie, Texas to be near their children and grandchildren.
He passed away 29 July 1979 in Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas and internment is in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Lorena May Carpenter Ware, daughters Ouida Mae Halbert and Linda Kaye Burson, son Bennie Richard Ware and grandchildren Teresa Jane Ware, Tina Lynn Ware, Lori Lynn Burson and Jeffrey Don Burson.
He is also survived by sisters Oma Lee Ware Anderson, Ocie Ware Steakley, Maggie Reba Ware Baker and brothers William Penn Ware, Richard William “Doc” Ware and Lloyd Walter Ware.”
