BARCLAY, Md. – Dorothy V. Ware of Barclay died of natural causes Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore City. She was 81. Mr. Ware was born March 19, 1920, in Preston, daughter of the late Fred M. and Elizabeth Bradley Stafford. She graduated from North Caroline High School, class of 1937. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. Mrs. Ware was a member of Crumpton Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel George Ware, on June 10, 1993; and her brother, Goldsborough Stafford Sr., on Jan. 22, 2000. She is survived by three daughters, Sammie Crosley of Barclay, Darlene Coleman and Doris Kinnamon, both of Hartly, Del; four brothers, Bradley Stafford of Greensboro, Charles R. “Mile” Stafford of Denton, Frederick M. Stafford of Preston and Thomas Harold Stafford of Punta Gorda, Fla., nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Fleegle-Helfenbein Funeral Home, P.A. in Greensboro. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery.
