Nancy Lou Ware Obituary, 2011

Ware, Nancy Lou 72 11/09/1938 02/10/2011 Nancy passed away peacefully in her home with family at her side. Born Nancy Lou Holland to Lee and Clara (Rauch) Holland, who preceded her in death, Nancy grew up in West Linn. She graduated from West Linn High School in 1956 and later joined the West Linn-Wilsonville School District where she proudly served for over 30 years, including participating in selling tickets for many of the high school’s sporting activities. Nancy was inducted into the West Linn High School Hall of Fame in 2006 earning a Distinguished Service Award. Nancy was actively involved with the West Linn-Riverview Lions Association, serving in many capacities including President. She was also actively involved with the Class of 1956 Scholarship Committee, helping students from West Linn in their college endeavors with scholarship funds. Nancy will be missed by many, including her children, Douglas Ware and his wife, Cathy; Deborah Ware and her life partner, Lisa Hart; and Delores Greene and her husband, Scott; grandchildren of whom she was very proud, Alexander Greene; Alyssa Notdurft and her husband, Matthew; Jack Ashby; Brandon Greene; Holly Ashby; and Emily Ware; and brother, Edward Holland. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011, in the West Linn High School Auditorium with a reception immediately following. Remembrances may be made in Nancy’s name to the Lions Foundation of West Linn, 19363 Willamette Drive, Suite 220, West Linn, OR 97068 or WLHS Class of ’56 Scholarship Fund, in care of Rosalie Raujol, 1090 S. Station Lane, West Linn OR 97068.
