Raymond L. Ware Obituary, 2004

MORGANTOWN – Raymond L. “Joe” Ware, 93, of Morgantown, W.Va., formerly of Webster County, died in Madison Rehab, on Friday, May 21, 2004. He was born in Diana, W.Va., March 16, 1911, the son of the late Harman Ware and Sarah Ann Sizemore Ware. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army. He was a Protestant, and was a taxi driver for Elsie’s Taxi. He lived most of his life in Webster County. He is survived by his daughter, Juanita Ware of Morgantown, W.Va., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zipha Townsend Ware; nine brothers; and five sisters. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2004, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with the Rev. Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
