The funeral for Wanda D. Ware, 83, a longtime resident of 75 Lincoln St., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. James M. Brand, pastor of Canton United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Russell Cemetery. Mrs. Ware died Wednesday evening at St. Joseph’s Home, Ogdensburg, where she had been a patient since Feb. 14. A calling hour will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ware cleaned several area houses. She enjoyed taking care of her cat and reading medical journals. Born Feb. 13, 1920, in Canton, daughter of Victor and Fern Cochrane Nichols, she graduated from Canton High School in 1937. She married Benjamin Ware on April 1, 1939, in Morley with the Rev. Arthur O. Northrup officiating. Mr. Ware died Dec. 5, 1970. There are no known survivors. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, N.Y. 13220.
