ELIA WARE Obituary

Elia Osorio Ware 1932 ~ 2009 Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2009 in Orem, Utah. Elia was born in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico on March 16, 1932 to Jesus David Osorio Morales and Maria Isabel Ibarra Zayas. Married to Jack Austin Ware on July 13th, 1962 in Salt Lake City Utah in the Salt Lake Temple. Elia was an elementary school teacher, Golden Apple Award recipient given by Governor Leavitt and Olympic Torch Bearer for the 2002 SLC Winter Olympics. Elia left her family, loved ones and friends with a legacy of true power derived through love, humility and service. Her life exemplified her convictions of our Lord Jesus Christ and touched the lives of thousands as she brought together Heaven and Earth in her teachings. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11a.m. at the LDS Stake Center at 1066 W. 200 N. in Provo, Utah. As per Elia’s request, there will be no public viewing. She kindly requested in place of flowers or other gifts that donations be made to the LDS missionary fund or another charity of choice.
