Barbara was an only child and was very close to her parents and extended family, who raised her in a Scandinavian Lutheran upbringing. Barbara met Bruce Ware while in high school and married at the age of 18. She had two children, Sheryl Tuck of Moscow, ID and Butch Ware of Springfield, OR. Barbara greatly enjoyed the Oregon Coast, spending her summers at a family cabin and eventually retiring in Newport, OR where her home became a beacon for family. She was proud of her six grandchildren, traveling to Springfield and across the world to share special memories with them. Barbara was an award winning knitter and gardener and participated in family hunting and fishing trips. She was close with and greatly appreciative of neighbors, always sharing stories and gardening tips. Barbara was a strong woman, overcoming polio, a broken back, and cancer until she ultimately passed away from complications of an aneurism in April of 2014.
