HARTFORD — Helen Maxine Ware, 87, of Centertown passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Professional Care Health & Rehab Center in Hartford. She was born April 6, 1927, in Centertown to the late Charlie King and Georgia Lee Goff King. Mrs. Ware retired from General Electric in Owensboro and was a member of Central Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Ogden Moseley, on Nov. 7, 1969; her second husband, Onis Ware, on March 26, 1992; and one daughter, Shirley Lambert, on Dec. 16, 2011. Survivors include her companion, J.C. Elmore of Browder; one grandson, Troy Sheffield of White House, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Sonya Linamen (Andy) of Vero Beach, Florida; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will follow in Bells Run Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
