Arthula Spiva Ware Obituary, 2008

BENTONVILLE – Arthula “Johnnie” Spiva Ware, 91, of Bentonville died July 21, 2008, in Bentonville. She was born Nov. 4, 1916, in Gentry to Walter Allen and Hettie Delphia Akin Spiva.

She owned and operated a cattle farm for many years. She enjoyed cooking and tending her flowers and studying rocks and rock formations.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Ware, on Oct. 20, 1953.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Grimes of Bentonville and Jean Franklin and husband Bob of Rogers; two brothers, Frank Spiva and wife Kay of Grove, Okla., and James Spiva of Rogers; three sisters, Maxine Bates of Bentonville, June Williams and Geneva Williams, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at Centerton Cemetery.
