Wetona Opal Cordray (Ware), 78 of Blue Springs, Mo passed away in her sleep at home on January 4, 2007. Wetona was born on April 17, 1928. She worked for many years on an assembly line for a local manufacturing company. Upon retirement, she loved working in the flower beds at her apartment complex until her health prohibited it. In recent years, she could be found sitting in her recliner watching the Chiefs or Royals on TV, crocheting or working a puzzle book. She was a quiet, loving and caring person who always put her family first. Wetona was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Opal and Herald Martin; father, Ernest Ware; brother, Benjamin Ware, and children Kathy Paylor, Ronnie Paylor and Linda Rae Paylor. Survivors include son, Harold Caldwell; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Teresa Caldwell and grandchildren Richard Gilles, Christopher McLaughlin, Elizabeth Caldwell and Sara Caldwell. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at Elmwood Cemetery 4900 Truman Rd. Kansas City, MO on January, 19th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Elmwood Cemetery for the preservation of the historic cemetery.
