Henry Ware Obituary, 2015

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Henry Ware, 87, of Greenville, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Greenville. He died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Trinity Mission, Clinton. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Ware was born Jan. 30, 1928, to the late Leon Ware and the late Bessie Alexander. On April 10, 1960, he married Lee Dora Ware, of Greenville. Ware was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Greenville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his devoted wife, Lee Dora Ware; a brother, James Ware; and a sister, Alma Shumpert.

He is survived by seven daughters, Henry Lou Ware Allen, of Lakewood, Wash., Ruth Ann (Levi) McCraney, of Greenville, Bettie Mae (Mitchell) Bruce, of Chesterfield, Va., Janie Rosalyn (Timothy) Nash, of Atlanta, Victoria Ware and Sandra (Richard) Ware Banks, both of Chicago, and Delma Ware, of Lithia Springs, Ga.; siblings, Lewis Ware, of Greenville, and Helen Bookman, Ruben (Dorothy) Ware, Freddie (Glenda) Ware, Bernadine Clark, Leon (Ida) Ware Jr., Earnestine Horton, Elizabeth Ware and Linda Smith, all of Memphis, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Brother John Selmon will officiate.
