Aubrey Nelson Ware Obituary, 2001

Contractor, former Yeadon/Darby resident

Aubrey Nelson Ware, 41, of Richmond, Va., and formerly of Delaware County, a contractor who enjoyed drawing, swimming and sports, died Aug. 31 in Richmond.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Ware lived in Yeadon, Philadelphia and Darby before moving to Virginia three years ago. Known as “Ozzie” and “Ike” to friends and family, he attended Yeadon Elementary School and Philadelphia public schools. He was employed as a contractor.

Mr. Ware was sports enthusiast who enjoyed swimming and drawing.

He was the son of Alice V. Jones Ware of Darby and the late Aubrey W. Ware, who died in May.

Survivors: Wife, Grace Richmond Ware mother, Alice V. Jones Ware of Darby brother, Staunton G. Jones of Philadelphia sisters, Katherine Hill of Sharon Hill, Evalyn Gray of Brookhaven, Dawn Ware of Darby, Lisa Broaddus of Upper Darby, Mazie Broaddus and Marie Broaddus, both of Philadelphia three stepsons, three stepdaughters eight nieces and four nephews.

Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Walter Avenue Baptist Church, Darby Township.

Burial: Private.

Arrangements: A.D. Price Funeral Home, Richmond, Va.
