Doris Evelyn Finfrock-Ware Obituary, 2008

CLINTON – Doris Evelyn Finfrock-Ware, 86, of Clinton died 9:55 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 3, 2008) in Hawthrone Inn, Clinton.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Pastor Andy Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton. Memorials: Waynesville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Finfrock-Ware was born Dec. 3, 1921, in DeWitt County, the daughter of Arthur Sympson and Amanda Bray. She was a retired partner of Finfrock Motors in Clinton after 40 years in business. She was a member of Clinton Chamber of Commerce and Waynesville Women’s Club. She was affiliated with Waynesville United Methodist Church. She married Charles Finfrock on Dec. 26, 1939. Charles passed away Aug. 4, 1991. She later married Orville D. “Jake” Ware on May 16, 1998. He passed away Aug. 22, 2003.

Surviving are her sons, Larry C. (Loraine) Finfrock of Wantagh, N.Y.; James L. (Carolyn) Finfrock of Waynesville; daughter, Carol Kay (Everett) Spaulding of McLean; grandchildren, Tom Spaulding, Lisa Hammel, Shelly Rae Finfrock, Becky Finfrock, J.C. Finfrock, Mandy Finfrock, Justin Sanok; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers and one sister.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
