JOAN BARDEN WARE, 52, of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Oaklyn, died Nov. 26 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Baltimore.
Born and raised in Oaklyn, Mrs. Ware was a 1955 graduate of Collingswood High School. She moved to the Washington, D.C., area in 1960.
She owned and operated an antique business in Silver Spring, specializing in early American antiques. Mrs. Ware was a former vice regent of the Little John Boyden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the former chapter president of the Prince George County Medical Society Auxiliary. She was the widow of Dr. George William Ware Sr., who died in 1985, and the daughter of the late John Barden of Collingswood.
Survivors: a daughter, Maria Louisa Ware of Silver Spring; two stepsons, George and Michael, both of Maryland; two stepdaughters, Bonnie and Barbara, both of Maryland; her mother, Florence Barden of Collingswood; a brother, John Barden of Collingswood, and a sister, Barbara Mason of San Francisco.
Services were held in Silver Spring.
