Chris Michael Ware Obituary, 2016

Chris Michael Ware
Added by: Ted and Kathleen (Hulet) Cox Chris Michael Ware The long awaited reunion of high school sweethearts, husband and wife, has come. After 10 years of cancer and eight long years without his Connie, Chris Michael Ware left this life for the next on Aug. 3, 2016 in Orangeville, Utah. Born on Feb.14, 1944, to Bruce and Christy Jones Jewkes Ware, Chris was a life-long resident of Orangeville.

As a kid Chris was known for his fast cars, funny antics like reassembling vehicles atop buildings or setting ablaze straw bales on Main Street and spending as much time as possible hunting and fishing with his dad and brothers.
He dedicated a lot of time running the local gas station. When he saw a need in town, he was there. Sometimes that need was a piece of black licorice slipped to a squeaky clean kid in a car.

He sold the station and went to the mines. Here Chris found his niche – heavy machinery. Not until he bid to the wash plant did he find his passion – the 844 Cat. He could smooth the roughest trail like butter on bread. Chris left his 844 Cat behind when he retired to take care of Connie.
Chris continued the outdoor traditions with his family. He would hook up the trailer and take his family around the state to hit the best fishing spots. He and his brother Bruce would hook up the boat for a weekend trip to Powell.
Chris is survived by daughter Christian (David) James, son Courtney (Cori) Ware, daughter Cymberly (Matt) Erni, son Casey (Connie Jean) Ware, 10 grandkids, four great-grandkids, two brothers and three sisters.

He is preceded in death by wife Connie Ann Wilberg Ware, grandson Colton Andrew Ware, parents Bruce and Christy Emma Jones Jewkes and many friends.

In lieu of flowers or other acknowledgements, take your family up the canyon for a picnic. Like Dad stole from Uncle Butch, “Just blink and it’ll be over.”
