Bishop Jerry Lebron Ware Sr. Obituary, 2010

Bishop Jerry Lebron Ware Sr., 60, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010, in Memorial Hospital. He was employed at Allied Signal (Bendix) for 27 years. He was a member of Inman Street Church of God (Fellowship of Praise). He loved and greatly enjoyed pastoring the people of God. That was his passion. He was preceded in death by his parents James Scott Ware Sr. and Ernestine Ware; brothers: James and Ernest; sisters: Anna Jean and Mary Louise; son, Desmond Whaley. Survivors include his wife of 40 years and 11 months, Brenda of Cleveland; sons: Jerry L. (Maribel) Ware Jr. of Cleveland, Jamie R. (Rebecca) Ware of Santa Fe, N.M., and Terry M. (Regina) Ware of Chattanooga; daughters: Courtney Ware and Kimberly Whaley, both of Cleveland; brother, Robert (Janice) Ware; sisters: Nellie Ware, Sharon Ware, and Patsy (Leonard) Woods, all of Cleveland; 14 grandchildren; and several of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at South Cleveland Church of God with Pastor Sam Hall officiating and Bishop Chris Moody of South Cleveland Church of God delivering the eulogy. Internment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 2 p.m, at M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home. Words of comfort may be submitted at
