Harry W. Ware Obituary, 2007

Harry W. Ware, 82, of Georgetown, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 31, 2007, in a local health care facility.

He was the son of the late Joe Lee Harris Grissom and Albert Ware. His son-in-law Hal Munck and brothers E.C. Ware and J.D. Ware also preceded him in death.

He was self-employed working in farming, trucking and construction.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Limestone Lodge in Birchwood. He was also a member of the Alhambra Shrine Temple in Chattanooga. He served on the A.S.C.S. Committee for Meigs County.

He enjoyed fishing and playing checkers.

He was a long time member of the Brittsville Baptist Church in Meigs County.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Robbie Wilson Ware of Georgetown; daughter, Charlotte Ware Munck of Cleveland; son, Wayne L. Ware and his wife, Jackie, of Georgetown; grandchildren: Jeff Brown and his wife, Amy, of Georgetown and Madeline Abbott of Etowah; great-grandchildren: Zachary and Nicole Brown and Dillon and Jeremy Abbott; sister: Helen Millaway of Chatsworth, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be today, June 3, 2007, at 2 p.m. from the Brittsville Baptist Church in Meigs County with the Revs. Ken Purdie and Johnny Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in the Johnston Cemetery with Walter Hickman, Eddie Stout, Bob Smith, Hilton Johnson, N.C. Cartwright and James Millaway serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class at the Brittsville Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Brittsville Baptist Church building fund, 2650 Brittsville Road, Georgetown, TN 37336.

The North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
