Charles Perry Ware
Added by: Mark Mueller

Charles Perry Ware a former prominent merchant of this city, died, Saturday Sept 8 at Rosenberg, Texas of paralysis of the brain. He was first stricken August 15, last, and rapidly declined until death relieved his suffering as above stated. He moved from McKinney about three years ago to Rosenberg where he engaged in the grocery business ever since. His body was shipped from Rosenberg the same evening he died for McKinney, but the violent storm delayed the funeral party several hours. It was in the Houston depot when the roof of that edifice was blown off. The remains arrived in McKinney Sunday night and were taken to the residence of W. D. Davis his father-in-law, from which place the funeral occurred Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Eld. G.A. Farris conducted the funeral and the interment was made at Pecan Grove cemetery in the presence of many friends and relatives. A wife and one daughter, Miss Florence, a brother, Joe Ware of this city and sister, Mrs. Adams of Foncine, survive the deceased. The Democrat in common with all our people, grieves with the bereaved ones on the sad visitation of death to their household.
