Ella Mae Ware Maynard, 79, of Pedlar Mills went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday July 10, 2018.
Born August 31, 1938 in Pera, Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Ludwell and Virginia Turner Ware. She was the loving wife of Charles Lee Maynard of 63 years and the devoted mother of seven children. She was a faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy in Lynchburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Ray Maynard; brother, Willie Ludwell (Bill) Ware, Jr.; grandson, Kevin Primm; and two great grandchildren, Barrett Sites and McKenna May. Ella is survived by her husband Charles; her daughters, Cheryl Chumney and husband Terry, Linda Primm and husband James; her sons, James Maynard and wife Synda, Mark Maynard and wife Valerie, John Maynard and wife Melissa, David Maynard and wife Michelle; her daughter in-law Pamela Maynard; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren; her brother, Marvin E. Ware and wife Audrey.
A graveside service will be held 11AM on Saturday July 14, 2018 at Allwood Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Vernon and the Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald officiating.
Family will receive friends Friday 7-9PM at Clifford Baptist Church in Amherst.
