Jenny went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2018 at her Houston home.
Jenny was born in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA to Walter F. and Jalana Marie Carpenter Ware. Jenny was a descendant of the Mayflower from her mother’s side of the family. Jenny was a world traveler from her early childhood. Moving to England from her home in Palos Verdes at the age of three with her family and returning to Palos Verdes in 1985.
From there, Jenny moved many more times starting in 1990 where she lived and continued her primary education in Brighton, NY and Birmingham, MI, before returning once again to Montecito, CA and graduating from Santa Barbara High school in 1998. Jenny then completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona in 2002. Upon graduation, Jenny was accepted at the Southern Methodist University – Dedman School of Law where she graduated with a Juris Doctorate Degree in Law in 2006 and was admitted to the Texas BAR Association. Her pursuit of the law career was the result of her commitment to helping others. From an early age she was involved in the National CASA Organization and Direct Relief. While attending SMU-Dedman School of Law, Jenny interned at the Dallas District Attorney’s office supporting the Innocence Project. She was the Associate-Justice of the Criminal Justice Program at SMU. Jenny continuously advanced in her professional career joining the prestigious Godwin Lewis Law Firm in 2012.
Jenny married Jerry von Sternberg on September 13, 2015. Jennifer was a beloved wife, stepmother, daughter, sister and beloved to all of her friends.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Jerry von Sternberg; her four step-children, Natalie, Brandon, Gabriel and Sophia; father Walter F. Ware; brother Lance Ware; nieces Alexandria and Bridgette; sister Christina Curtis and husband Thomas Curtis; nephew Lucas and niece Catherine; uncle Larry Ware and wife Pam Ware; cousins Susan Rigby; Maryanne Rigby; and many others who knew and experienced her love.
