“Simuel Floyd Ware, age 82, died Saturday, September 21 at his home. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 22 at 3 pm at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Cain and Rev. James Bryant officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lorene Ware of Woodland; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Wooldridge of Collinsville, Mrs. Hazel Vaughn of Woodland, Mrs. Joyce Johns of Houston and Mrs. Dorothy Spillers of Carlton, Alabama; two sons, Jerry Ware of Alaska and Charles Ware of Columbus; four sisters, Mrs. Mable Naron of Gulf Port, Mrs. Simmie Andrews of Vidor, Texas, Mrs. Vera Bryant of Natchez and Mrs. Corrine Springer of Columbus; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Brand, Tim Vaughn, Terry Vaughn, Keith Vaughn, Tim Sutherland and Tracy Spillers.

Memorial Funeral Home of Houston was in charge of arrangements.”
