Private graveside services for George R. Ware, 76, Topeka, were Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence.

Mr. Ware died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Colmery-O’Neal V.A. Hospital, Topeka.

He was born May 15, 1924, in Leavenworth, the son of George Seymour and Nida (Starkweather) Ware.

Mr. Ware was a veteran of World War II.

He married Bonnie Ware. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include a sister, Bette W. Doolittle, Burr Ridge, Ill.

Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
