”THE OCTOBER MEETING OF THE REGENTS

…Clayton W. Bedford was appointed Teaching Assistant in Chemical Engineering at a salary of $700, with the understanding that he should take charge of the routine work in gas analysis. Mr. Bedford’s appointment was due to the inability of Mr. Elmer E. Ware to accept the position of Instructor in Chemical Engineering, to which he was appointed under the budget.  Mr. Ware was given leave of absence for the year 1910-1911, without salary.”
