”WARE, WILLIAM M.—Age, 22 years. Enrolled at Elmira, to serve three years, and mustered in as private, Co. I, August 22, 1862; promoted sergeant, September 11, 1862; first sergeant, April 24, 1863; mustered in as second lieutenant, May 30, 1865; mustered out with company, June 8. 1865, near Washington, D. C.; also borne as Charles.

Commissioned second lieutenant, May 17, 1865, with rank from December 14, 1864, vice C. A. Coryell promoted.”
