The Pacific Methodist College.—The citizens of Santa Rosa and vicinity generously donated ten acres of land and erected there on a spacious college building, at a cost of twenty-five thousand dollars. The present value of the buildings and grounds is estimated at thirty thousand dollars. The college grounds are situated in the north-eastern part of the city; the building is commodious, and affords accommodation for three hundred students. There are two literary societies in connection with the institution, which have neatly-furnished halls set apart to their especial uses, while the libraries of these societies contain close upon a thousand volumes.
