”Col. James A. Ware, of Iberville parish, where he owns and operates the splendid Belle Grove plantation, was in the city on a visit during the past week. Col. Ware has a good crop on his place and the yield is quite satisfactory, which is quite a contrast to the conditions prevailing generally on the Mississippi river plantations.”
