Maskell Ware

“Fat Pork.—The Bridgeton, N. J. Whig, gives a particular account of some half dozen Swine, that have been killed within a short time in that neighborhood. Mr Maskell Ware of Roadstown, raised one whose weight, after dressing was 740 lbs. Mr Johnston of Bridgeton, killed two, nineteen months old. whose united weight was 1100 lbs. These results are derived from a careful attention to the breed of animals, and it is asserted, a farmer can make one of the breed of Swine referred to, weigh 800 lbs.”
