“Percy Melvin “Pat” Ware, Jr., 79, of 205 Oakmont Court died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Hospice Home of Alamance/Caswell Co.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2006 at Citty Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery with military rites.
A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late Percy Melvin “Pat” and Theresa Milton Ware and had lived on Ocracoke Island, N.C. for 10 years before moving to Burlington two years ago. Pat was retired from Southern Bell and he had attended the Assembly of God Church on Ocracoke Island. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cricket Ware, by brothers, Earl Milton Ware, Richard C. “Dickie” Ware, and J. Spencer Ware and by a sister, Mary Ellen Frye.
Surviving is his daughter, Lisa W. Stanley and husband, Patrick of Mebane; brother, R. Cary Ware and wife, Maye of Reidsville; sisters, Jasmine W. Poindexter (Ed) of Winston-Salem and Betsy W. Thompson of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Logan Reid Stanley and William Harrison Stanley; brother-in-law, Bill R. Frye of Kernersville; sisters-in-law, Eleanor R. Ware of Greensboro, Florence S. Ware of Reidsville and Donna R. Ware of Winterville; numerous nieces and nephews.”
