Martha “Lela” Ware, 88, of Clyde went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her husband Edwin, her parents and three sisters on Monday May 16, 2011. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Eula with Tim White officiating and private burial to follow in the Aspermont Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. till service time at the church.
Mrs. Ware was born March 6, 1923 near Swenson to H. Fred and Emma (Gaston) Ritchie. She grew up in the Swenson and Aspermont area. Mrs. Ware, her husband and her parents were charter members of the Central Baptist Church in Aspermont. She married Edwin Richard Ware on February 12, 1943 in Jayton. After her husband’s death in 1992 she came to Clyde from Hasse. She was a homemaker and at the time of her death she was a member of the Eula Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ware is survived by two daughters, Martha Gill and Carolyn Johnson and husband Kenneth both of Eula; five grandchildren, Ret Major Richard Fulgium of Lawton, Oklahoma, Rev. Malcolm Johnson and wife Becky of Abilene, Bradley Johnson of Hasse, Texas, Keith Fulgium of Ft. Worth, Texas and Heather Guilhas and husband Jacob of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 301 S. Pioneer Drive # 105, Abilene, Texas 79605-1526.
