Ruth Elizabeth Ware died Oct. 22, 2003, at age 91. Ruth Miller was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Lake Forest, Ill. She worked for Douglas Aircraft during World War II and later was a self-employed housekeeper. She moved to the Portland area in 1988. In 1946, she married Stephen; he died in 1968. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Hall; sons, Jim and Gary; brother, Bob; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private service. Remembrances to Oregon Humane Society.
