William Robert Ware Jr., 71, 358 Duke Road, retired nuclear engineer and designer for Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, Ill., World War II veteran, was found dead Sunday of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to the Fayette County coroner’s office. Memorial service 3 p.m. Thursday, Kerr Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation 2 p.m. Thursday. Contributions suggested to Disabled American Veterans or Lexington Humane Society.
