
Lora Baker Ware of Lancaster, PA died on Monday evening, May 10, 2010 after an illness. She leaves her much beloved family and friends.
Lora was the daughter of J. Raymond and Blanche Baker of Millsboro, DE. Her daughters, Julia Ware of Narberth, PA and Layla Ware de Luria of Wynnewood, PA survive her; as does son-in-law, Marcos de Luria, and her grandsons, Mateo and Nicolas. She also leaves her long-time companion, Deborah M. Haller of Lancaster.
Lora was a school psychologist for 20 years in South Central PA. Lora was known for her reserved demeanor and her compassion when working with families and coworkers.
She was often most at home when hiking the woods of PA and canoeing local streams. In her youth, she would frequently be found sailing on Rehoboth Bay.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lancaster, 538 West Chestnut Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.
