Russell Ware, 91, Main Street, Clay City, husband of Roxie Ware, passed away Friday, January 31 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born May 8, 1922 in Powell County to the late Roy Ware and the late Alice Hammons Ware Kester. He was owner of Ware’s Auto Sales, Ware’s Insurance Agency, and retired from Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot. Survivors include, Sons, Henry and wife, Connie Ware, Stanton and Eddie and wife, Anna Ware, Clay City; Daughters, Barbara Sue and husband, Virgil Faulkner, Clay City and Anna Mae Wiseman, Clay City; Grandchildren, Lee J. Faulkner, Nancy Mann, Jr Ware, Heather Clark, Anthony Ware, Paul Howard, Jeffrey Howard, Cathy Tipton, Janie Dennis, Ryan Nolan, and Cody Nolan and 14 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Ware, Mother, Alice Hammons Ware Kester, step-father, Herman Kester, and son, David Ware. Services Monday, February 3, 1:00PM Davis & Davis Funeral Home, Stanton by Rev. Willard Estep. Visitation Sunday after 5:00pm at the funeral home. Burial in Clay City-Eaton Cemetery Lee J. Faulkner, Jr Ware, Anthony Ware, Steve Mann, Robin Smith, Mike McGuire, and Jack Strange.
