Britton B. Ware Jr. of East Ridge died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, in a local hospital.

He was 79. Mr. Ware was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and also served as a deacon.

He was a building contractor in the Chattanooga area for 37 years before retiring in August 1982. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene H. Ware; sister, Rebecca Cusumano; and brother, J.C. Ware.

Survivors include his sister, Bertha Ware, and brother, W.W. Ware, both of Ringgold, Ga.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Richard Byers officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
