Eunice H. Ware, age 85, of Gaffney, SC formerly of Spindale, NC, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her residence.

Eunice was born June 4, 1933 in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Ina Mae Hudgins. She worked in textiles for many years and was also a dietician for Oak Grove Nursing Care. Eunice was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Spindale and enjoyed doing housework and gardening.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Grady Ware, Jr. and a sister, Maybell Head West.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Teresa Humphries and husband, Wyan of Gaffney; two sons, Larry Gerald Ware of Ellenboro and Ricky Ware and wife, Deborah of Cliffside and a brother, Robert Hudgins and wife, Dorothy of Gilkey. She is also sur vived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Reverend Glenn Head officiating.

The family wishes to thank all of the Hospice caregivers for their compassion and love given to Eunice during her illness.

Linda Joyce Ware Sumpter Obituary, 2018

Linda Joyce Ware Sumpter, 74, of Earlington passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at her home. She was born June 30, 1944, in Clay to the late Lula and Carl Ware. Linda was employed at Red Wagon Antiques and Animal Medical Center in Madisonville. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and had a true compassion for animals. She was a member of Earlington First Christian Church.

Linda had a smile that would light up a room and a fun sense of humor. She was admired by her perseverance and determination that never wavered. She will truly be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Peyton Gibson; four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Sumpter; a son, Tommy Peyton and wife Kathy of Madisonville; daughters Lannette Howton and husband Greg and Carla Thomas and husband Mike, all of Madisonville; a brother, Danny Ware and wife Lisa of Madisonville and David Ware and wife Sandy of Louisville; sisters Brenda Gunn and husband Danny of Nortonville and Wanda Bryan and Carolyn Loughery, both of Madisonville; granddaughters, Lacy Howton of Nashville and Hillary Lamb and husband Justin of Hanson; a grandson, Brad Peyton and wife Jessica of Hanson; a great-granddaughter, Addison Peyton of Hanson; and several nieces and nephews.

The service is 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Kim Hudson officiating. Burial follows at Concord Cemetery in Manitou. Visitation is from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Greg Howton, Mike Thomas, Brad Peyton, Gary Peyton, Danny Ware and Tommy Peyton. Honorary pallbearer is David Ware.

Memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to Hospice of Western Kentucky or the Hopkins County Humane Society.

WARE Betty Jo Ware, 85, of Jacksonville Beach, died Saturday, November 3, 2018, following an extended illness. Born in Atlanta, she moved with her family to Jacksonville in 1937. She was a graduate of Lee High School and the Southern Baptist School of Nursing in New Orleans where she earned her RN Degree. She later enlisted in the US Air Force and traveled the world during her distinguished career as an officer. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Jessie Ware; sister June Jordan; and brothers Sam, Charles, Bill, and Ralph. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Anna Ware of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and a celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date. Obituary of Mary Anne (Ware) Ballew

Mary Anne Ware Ballew passed away peacefully on the 9th of November in the year of 2018 in Austin Texas at the age of 89. Mary Anne was born in Roanoke, Alabama to Dewitt Talmadge Ware and Martha “Marchie” Sewell Ware on December 17th in the year 1928. Mary Anne married the love of her life Charles Harrison Ballew on the 7th day of August in 1948. Mary Anne received her bachelors degree in elementary education followed with her master’s in education and counseling. Her passion for teaching with devotion to her students was evident throughout her whole life. She was very proud of being a teacher. She taught 26 years for AlSO and RRISD, and for five years tutored. Mary Anne enjoyed, and loved gardening, she was a member of the Austin Chrysanthemum SOciety, her number one priority above all was her family. She was preceded in death by her Husband Dr. Charles Harrison Ballew, MD her twin sister Martha Ava Ware Blackwell, and her grandson “Alex” Alexander Harrison-Henry Ballew. Mary Anne is survived by her daughter Deborah Anne Ballew, her son James Christopher Ballew, and her baby Daughter Melinda Lou Ballew. Also surviving her nephew Perry Beasley, her Nieces Lesa Hauser, Bonnie Beasley, and Brenda Vaughn who resided in Alabama. A graveside service will be held in Rising Star Texas on November 16th 2018 at the Rising Star Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Mary Kathryn York Ware, known to all as Kathy, passed away on November 10 of internal complications at home with her family present.

A funeral Service is to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 1:00 p.m., at Jenkins Funeral Home, formerly Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St Burnet, Texas with interment to follow at Burnet City Cemetery.

She was born on June 24, 1933 in Burnet, Texas to Charles and Maude York. She had a 40-year long nursing career and helped deliver many babies in Burnet County. Her passion was cooking and baking. Kathy catered many area events and helped her husband Charlie at their BBQ place in Burnet. She belonged to 1st United Methodist Church of Burnet and believed in Jesus Christ. Kathy was a dedicated mother and loved family gatherings, especially the laughter and humor. Her family relied on her for advice and respected her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Lee and husband, Frank Lee of Houston; children, Mike Ware and wife Ronda, Karen Sooter, Jerry Ware and Eric Guatemala; grandchildren, Charlie Ware, Clint Ware and wife Kassie, and Kadi Sooter, as well as seven mischievous great-grandchildren.

A reception at the High view Retirement Village in Marble Falls will be held after the burial.

Ruth Inez Ware Knoxville, TN Ruth Inez Ware went to be with the Lord Jesus on November 11. She was a long-time member of Arlington Baptist Church. She worked for American Zinc/ASARCO in Mascot for four decades. She was energetic in her 97 years and loved her many family members and friends. Graveside service will be at Roseberry Cemetery in Mascot at a later date.

Jenny went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2018 at her Houston home.

Jenny was born in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA to Walter F. and Jalana Marie Carpenter Ware. Jenny was a descendant of the Mayflower from her mother’s side of the family. Jenny was a world traveler from her early childhood. Moving to England from her home in Palos Verdes at the age of three with her family and returning to Palos Verdes in 1985.

From there, Jenny moved many more times starting in 1990 where she lived and continued her primary education in Brighton, NY and Birmingham, MI, before returning once again to Montecito, CA and graduating from Santa Barbara High school in 1998. Jenny then completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona in 2002. Upon graduation, Jenny was accepted at the Southern Methodist University – Dedman School of Law where she graduated with a Juris Doctorate Degree in Law in 2006 and was admitted to the Texas BAR Association. Her pursuit of the law career was the result of her commitment to helping others. From an early age she was involved in the National CASA Organization and Direct Relief. While attending SMU-Dedman School of Law, Jenny interned at the Dallas District Attorney’s office supporting the Innocence Project. She was the Associate-Justice of the Criminal Justice Program at SMU. Jenny continuously advanced in her professional career joining the prestigious Godwin Lewis Law Firm in 2012.

Jenny married Jerry von Sternberg on September 13, 2015. Jennifer was a beloved wife, stepmother, daughter, sister and beloved to all of her friends.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Jerry von Sternberg; her four step-children, Natalie, Brandon, Gabriel and Sophia; father Walter F. Ware; brother Lance Ware; nieces Alexandria and Bridgette; sister Christina Curtis and husband Thomas Curtis; nephew Lucas and niece Catherine; uncle Larry Ware and wife Pam Ware; cousins Susan Rigby; Maryanne Rigby; and many others who knew and experienced her love.
