Linda Lee Ware Obituary, 2011

Linda Lee Ware, 61, of Milford died Tuesday, February 22, 2011.

She was a secretary in the fire suppression industry.

Ware is survived by her mother Vikki L. Ware, sister Carolyn Dorn, nieces and nephews Loretta Souder, John, Jim, and Jeff Souder, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her sister Emily Souder, and nephew Rob Souder.

She will be missed by all her friends and family.

No services have been planned. Evans Funeral Home is serving the family.

Ralph R. Ware Obituary, 2017

Ralph R. Ware, 93, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017.

Born in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., on Oct. 2, 1923, he was the son of Omel and Lena (Loving) Ware. He married Jennie Meola on Sept. 6, 1952, and together they shared sixty-four wonderful years together.

Throughout his life he was an avid golfer, sports fan and hunter, and his hobbies included gardening and woodworking.

Ralph proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, in the South Pacific Theatre, and he earned the rank of Second Class Petty Officer. After, serving in the Navy, he attended college at the University of West Virginia.

Ralph worked as a caddy for Greenbrier Hotel in W.Va., and as an electrician for Union Carbide/Elkem Metals, where he retired after thirty-nine years.

He was an active member in Union Local #3081, United Steelworkers, and lifelong member of the VFW. He served as chairman of grievance committee, recording secretary, safety and scholarship committee, and he also helped establish Lakeview Credit Union. Ralph was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church/Lighted Cross Church, where he served as an usher and board member.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Ware; daughters, Carol (Ron) Woods of Bluffton, S.C., and Janet (William) Sopko of Burlington, N.C.; four devoted grandchildren, Jill (Brian Moran) Sopko of Md., Erica (William) Esposito of Ohio, Audrey (Jeremy) Smith of Ga., and William (Whitney) Sopko of N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Esposito and Kyler Smith; brothers, Dallas and Homer of W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Rev. Don Coulter will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 24th, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 3140 E. Center Street, North Kingsville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Ralph’s Memory.
