Max Ware

He was born on May 19, 1930, in Belington, West Virginia, to Cecil M. and Blanche (Pharis) Ware and lived in Alliance for 63 years.

A member of First Baptist Church, Max retired as a self-employed contractor.

Max enjoyed woodworking, hunting, traveling, and taking cruises. But he loved spending time with his family and his beloved dog, “Riley.”

Survivors include his wife, Fayetta K. (Vance) Ware, whom he married on Nov. 23, 1951; son, Michael R. (fiance LeeAnn and her daughter Taylor) Ware of Alliance; son Gary (Barbara Vignos) Ware of Stoval, North Carolina; daughter, Jeannie F. (Jeffery) Oyster of Alliance; “adopted son,” William “Bill” Gamertsfelder of Alliance; six grandchildren, Heidi (Trent) McIlvain, Ryann (Jason) Yoder, Gary Dustin (Angela, Karter and Kaden) Ware, Ashley Ware, Melanie (Adam) Oyster, and Tyler Ware; six great-grandchildren, Hailey Ware, Dylan Vesco, Austin McIlvain, Harper McIlvain, Averey and Andrew Yoder; two brothers, Bernie (Shelba) Ware of Alliance and Cecil (Lavonda) Ware of New Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil M. and Blanche Ware; great-grandson, Caleb Dustin Ware; sister, Geraldine Potts; and three brothers, Lonnie Ware, Fletis Ware, and Thomas Lee Ware.

Private services will be held. There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place in Belington.

Laura died unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. She was born in Canton, Ohio to Lawrence Davis and Marilyn Stebler Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Bethany Davis. Laura is survived by her daughter, Lisa Annang and granddaughter, Lillian (Williams) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Laurence Davis of Canton; sisters, Mary (Ron) Rowland of North Canton and Susan (Bob) Wade of North Canton; nephews, Stephen Rowland, Laurence Davis (Jodi) Matt Davis, Jason Davis and Gerald Van Meter; nieces, Christina Newell, Melissa Wade, Amy Sarver (Mike), Wendy Williams (Alex) and many great-nieces and nephews.

Laura enjoyed the small things in life and will be greatly missed by all of her family.

Cecil Ware Jr. Obituary, 2016

Cecil Ware, Jr., 80, of Minerva, passed away on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at 6:48 a.m. at his home.

Born on April 19, 1936 in Belington, West Virginia to Cecil M. and Blanche (Phares) Ware, he lived in Minerva for most of his life and retired from Colfor in Malvern.

Cecil enjoyed the outdoors; especially farming and hunting with his beagles. He was a Life Member of the North American Hunters Club.

Survivors include his wife, Lavonda (Cross) Ware, whom he married on February 14, 1970; his daughter, Leisa (Jason) Howard of Minerva; his son, Bryan (Chrissy) Ware of Minerva; a grandson, Joshua (Tracy) Howard of Perrysville; a granddaughter, Kaeley Boyle of Minerva; three great-grandddaughters; one great-grandson; a brother, Bernie (Shelba) Ware of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister; and four brothers.

His Memorial Service and burial will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery on a later date. Born in New York City, March 5, 1919 to Pastor Starling and Hazel Grayson. Dr. Grayson was a former pastor at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main St., Columbus, Oh. for a number of years. Her funeral will be held Friday, November 7, 1997 at 2 p.m. at The Congregational Church of Park Manor, 7000 South King Drive, Chicago, Ill. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, James H. Ware; 2 children, Linice (Bobbie) Howie and Renee K. Richard Ware, age 40, of Akron, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 23, 2002.

Born Jan. 21, 1962 in Atlanta, Ga., he has been an Akron resident most of his life. Richard graduated from Ellet High School, proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a nine-year mill operator for Bedell-Krause Company in Stow.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Todd. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Cyndie; daughters, Rachel and Taylor; son, Jeffrey; parents, Glenn and Rosalie Ware; sister, Stacy (Jason) Hollister; brothers, Thomas (Lori), Michael (Bonnie) and Troy (Lisa); parents-in-law, Gene and Joann Keener; many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

NORTH CANTON Harold W. Ware, 102, died Friday, June 14, 2002.

Born in Barberton, he worked for Sealtest Milk Co., City Bakery, Tauers Flowers, Skyway, and drove a Copley school bus.

Preceded in death by wife, Beulah; son, Donald; one brother and two sisters. He is survived by daughters, Elizabeth J. (James) Tyree of Cuyahoga Falls, Amy L. (James) Brickels of Barberton; daughter-in-law, Vicky Ware of Centerville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
