Andrew Jackson Ware (b. 8/22/1874 d. 9/8/1961) is the son of Adam W. Ware and Elizabeth Deems Ware of Barbour County, West Virginia. Andrew was married to Hester Ann Vinora Coberly (b. 4/16/1873 d. 11/15/1968). They had eight children: Herbert C. (b. 9/4/1893), Edna (b. 9/13/1896) Gracie (b. 5/2/1899), Boyd (b. 1/5/1902 d. 1/16/1933) Bertie (b. 10/18/1904 d. 7/20/1997), Blanche (b. 8/14/1907), O’Dell (b. 3/17/1911), and Wilbert (b. 9/18/1916).
It is interesting to note that Andrew Jackson Ware’s father, Adam W. Ware, and Hester Ann Vinora Coberly’s father, Haymond Coberly, served together in the 15th W Va Volunteer Infantry. There is a potential that a friendship born in their service for the Union contributed to their children’s union in marriage.
