“To all Christian People to whom these Presents shall come greeting Know ye that I Arthur Bragdon Junr of York in the County of York Yeoman for To divers good Causes & Considerations me thereun to moving but more especially for & in Consideration of the full & just Sum of sixty Pounds currant Money of New England to me in Hand paid before the Ensealing & Delivery of these Presents by Samuel Milberry of sd York Yeoman and Joseph Kingsbury of the same
Town Blacksmith the Receit whereof I do hereby acknowledge & my self therewith to be fully satisfied contented & paid & thereof & of every Part & Parcel thereof do hereby acquit exonerate & discharge the sd Milberry & Kingsbury their Heirs Execrs and Adminrs have given granted bargained sold aliened conveyed & confirmed & do by these Presents give grant bargain sell aliene convey & confirm unto the sd Samuel Milberry & Joseph Kingsbury a certain Piece or Parcel of Marsh Thatch Ground or Meadow Ground situate lying & being in the Township of York upon the South West Side of the North West Branch of York River being the same that I purchased of Capt Peter Nowel of York & is the one full Moiety or half Part in Quantity & Quality of that Piece of Marsh containing seven Acres be the same more or less which was before the sd Purchase in aqual Partnership between the sd Peter Nowel & Hopewell Ware of sd York now deceasd & is bounded on the North East by sd North West Branch of sd River & on other Sides as the Upland lieth To have and to hold ye sd granted & bargained Premisses with the Appurces Priviledges & Comodities thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto them the sd Milberry and Kingsbury their Heirs & Assigns for ever And I the sd Arthur Bragdon do hereby for my self my Heirs Execrs & Adminrs covenant & engage to & with the sd Milberry & Kingsbury their Heirs & Assigns that at & until the Ensealing of these Presents I am the true sole & lawful Owner of the above demised Premisses & am lawfully seized & possessed of the same as a good pfect & absolute Estate of Inheritance in Fee simple and have in my self good Right full Power & lawful Authority to bargain & sell the same in Manner as abovesd And that the sd Samuel Milberry & Joseph Kingsbury their Heirs & Assigns shall & may lawfully peaceably & quietly have hold use occupy possess & enjoy the same free & clear & freely & clearly exonerated acquitted and discharged of from all former & other Gifts Grants Bargains Sales Leases Mortgages Wills Entails Joyntures Dowries Judgments Executions Incumbrances & Extents—Furthermore I ye sd Arthur Bragdon Junr for me my Heirs Execrs & Adminrs do covenant grant & agree the above bargained Premisses to the sd Milberry & Kingsbury their Heirs & Assigns against the lawful Claims & Demands of any Person or Persons whatsoever for ever hereafter to warrant secure & defend—And Mehetabel the Wife of me the said Arthur Bragdon doth by these Presents freely & willingly give yield up & surrender unto the sd Samuel Milberry & Joseph Kingsbury all her Right of Dowry & Power of Thirds of in & unto the Premisses— In Witness whereof the sd Arthur Bragdon & Mehetabel his Wife have hereunto set their Hands & Seals this sixth Day of April Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred & twenty five & in the eleventh Year of King Georges Reign over Great Britain France & Ireland &e
