Josiah W. Ware

”SHEEP—LONG WOOL.

By Col. Ware, of Va.—3 young Ewes, and an imported Cots wold Buck and Ewe. The fame of Col. Ware’s flock is almost as extensive as the boundaries of our Union, and in the noble rivalry evinced on the present occasion, the character of his flock is not likely to sustain any detriment. It will be seen by the report of the Committee on Sheep, that they could not determine between his imported Cotswolds and those of Mr. Reybold; and the permission was asked and obtained of the Society, to divide the premium offered for the best buck and ewe.”
