”Be it further enacted, That the sum of two hundred dollars, be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to pay Jesse Burgee, former Sheriff of DeKalb county, for services rendered in victualing and guarding one Mercer and John Nicholson, States prisoners; and also, one Westley Ware and Edward Stiff, States prisoners, and other services, and that the Comptroller of Public Accounts, be, and he is hereby authorized to draw his warrant on the Treasury, for the amount herein named, in favor of the said Burges. Approved, Feb. 15, 1856.”
