Joel Ware (1864)

”The Oregon State Journal—Was established March 12, 1864, by H. R. Kincaid, Joel Ware and William Thompson, the last named partner, however, selling his interest to the other two. In a little less than a year, February 14, I860, Mr. Ware, who is now and has been for upwards of fourteen years, county clerk of Lane county, having just entered upon his eighth term, sold his interest to the remaining partner.”
