CLARENCE EUGENE “COON” WARE

1851-1917

Clarence Eugene Ware, son of General Edmund Ware and Margaret Gaines.

Clarence being the younger of three children, the others were;

Mary Louise Bolling, b & d unknown,

Thomas Edwin Ware, aka “Salt”, 1849-1904.

Clarence married Mary Elizabeth Davis,, date unknown.

The children by this union and were;

Martha, James Edward, Mary Belamy, Anna, Clarence Eugene, Jr. and

John Hampton Ware, 1883-1960.

More research regarding is needed regarding this family.

It would be interesting to know how he came to be called “Coon”, and

how Thomas earned the name “Salt.”
